St. John the Baptist Chapel is a beautiful Gothic Revival style Episcopalian Chapel located in the Elkhart Cemetary on Elkhart Hill (Elkhart, Illinois). The chapel was constructed in 1890 by the Culver Stone and Marble Company of Springfield as a memorial to John Dean Gillett, a prominant rancher who was once dubbed "The Cattle King of the World" by the London Gazette. As the only privately owned and operated chapel in the State of Illinois, residents of the town have the opportunity to attend the annual Christmas Service, which on the night this photograph was taken also coincided with a supermoon.

These Limited Edition prints (available on fine art paper, fine art canvas, and metal) are individually signed and sequentially numbered and come with a matching Certificate of Authenticity for your records.

After the Service

  • Paper Prints are printed on Moab Entrada Rag fine art paper by Legion Paper. The 100% cotton fine art paper is an archival acid- and lignin-free paper with an expanded color gamut lending itself well to natural contrast and high ink load. The subtle texture of the paper allows superior color rendition and together with archival pigment inks you can be assured that your print will last for generations.

Metal Prints are made by infusing dyes into sheets of aluminum, resulting in a modern piece of art with vibrant colors and a luminescent finish. The surface of metal prints are scratch resistant and easy to clean, but should be kept out of direct sunlight. Metal prints do not require to be framed and come ready to hang on your wall; however, metal prints can be framed using float frames or flush mount frames if desired. Contact me for additional details and pricing on framed metal prints.

Canvas Wraps are printed on archival quality canvas stretched around a wooden frame with tight 90-degrees corners. These wraps are finished with a UV-resistant coating for added protection and come ready to hang on your wall; however, canvas wraps can be framed using float frames in various styles and colors if desired. Contact me for additional details and pricing on framed canvas wraps.
